My Mum – Nearly Insane

Just had to pop in a pic of my Mum, Kay and her “Nearly Insane” quilt, shown here at her local

show in Castlemaine, Victoria, Australia (Goldfields Quilters) on the weekend.

MumNearlyInsane

The quilt is all hand-pieced and hand quilted and won the Viewer’s Choice at the show.

Congratulations Kay!  This is especially amazing after the awful year she has had, health-wise.

Shame I couldn’t be there, as they always put on a great show – thanks Wendy for taking the

pic for me.

Hi Alison, I was glad we managed to get to the show late on Saturday, and I was delighted to see your Mum was there, and Wendy too. The quilt is wonderful, your Ma looked really well, and it was great to catch up with her after so long..

Came to see your BOM - you did an amazing job and you're right, that middle one was terrible to do - I had to throw mine in the bin and start again! But I got side tracked and saw this quilt which I am absolutely in love with - it is soooooo amazing. BTW, are you on flickr because there's a Circle Game Bom group there. If not, I'll add you to my blog reader to watch you making the blocks as I go!
