We have spent the week feeling devastated at the losses of life and destruction of property and the beautiful landscapes of my home state of Victoria. Such tragedy, but inspiring to see how the community has rallied to help the survivors.
Wanting to help in some way, I have joined in a group making blocks for charity quilts. The blocks are all 12.5" on light backgrounds with a 'maverick' or 'wonky' star. The button on my Blog takes you to the FlickR group, where everyone is posting pics of their completed blocks. I think they'll look beautiful when finished.

What a great idea! I'll be making some to send off.
Maybe the ladies in the quilt group might like to do some too.
I'm going to bring them along on Tuesday together with instructions. Perhaps we could put our own together? They are easy to do.
